The TT is Audi's Cayman. Audi has tried hard with its new generation TT to try and make it more fun to drive with a powerful engine and capable chassis.

Performance

The TT comes with only a 3.2fsi engine option which is there even in the new Audi A4 and the A6. The direct injection naturally aspirated engine puts out an impressive 247bhp of power and 32.6kgm of torque. The engine is quite a performer, with performance available at all engine speeds. The engine makes a nice throaty note and it is fun to rev this engine right to the red line. The TT reaches 100kph very quick and reaches a limited top speed of 250kph without losing a breath. The stiff adjustable air suspension helps the TT handle really well. It corners hard with no body roll to talk about and because of the Quattro system you end up carrying insane speeds through corners. The TT because of the short wheel base is extremely flickable around slow corners. But it doesn't inspire that much confidence around fast corners where the long wheelbase A4 feels more stable. The TT comes with a gearbox which is quick shifting and responds well to your throttle inputs.

In profile the coupe with its smooth flowing design make the car look like its moving even when standing still. The front is typical Audi with the trade mark grille and nicely sculpted headlights. Even the frameless doors look very distinctive and attractive. The build quality is typical Audi. Everything is well finished and has a lasting feel to it. The TT's interiors are derived from the old TT which is not a bad thing. The design is very sporty with the three round AC vents in the centre console. The car is basically a two-seater and both the seats are extremely comfortable, but you seat extremely low in the car so getting in and out of the car is a bit of a problem.
